Services: Beyond Individual Therapy

I am a therapist that most frequently meets with individuals on a weekly basis for traditional therapy (supportive and skills-based therapy).  However, I believe in meeting clients where they are at, which at times means providing coaching in your everyday times of need.  In other words, I provide support to you in the moments that you are needing and wanting to face your every day fears while teaching you skills and helping you to utilize them in order to better manage your anxieties.

Meals and Snacks.  I am available to help with meals by eating with individuals in place of or as part of their treatment.  This can mean eating in my office with food you eat at home or school, for lunch or for dinner.  This could also mean going out to eat at a local restaurant.  The above aforementioned can be done with snacks as well, particularly effective with the foods that are most challenging for you to eat.

Mirror Work.  Mirror work is a therapeutic technique that I use with clients struggling with body image.  I teach people to see their body as a useful tool in connecting with people, helping them with daily tasks, and to see their body in a more positive way.  This is also used to allow one to see how negative and abusive their most frequent thoughts about themselves are.

Free Consultation.  I am available for free consultation for professionals needing additional help while meeting with patients that struggle with eating disorders.  I am also available to meet with individuals and families for 30 minutes to discuss and evaluate whether or not we should partner together in your recovery process.
